Your kids are on screens.
The moon is outside.

Every night at 8pm, NightLog™ sends you a gentle text with tonight's moon phase and one simple, beautiful question to ask your child.

You step outside together. Both of you looking up at the same sky. Then you save it.

The quiet wonder in their eyes when you asked what the moon was thinking.
These are the memories you and your children will carry forever.

8pm. One question. Two minutes outside.
Whatever she says next. That's the memory.

Tonight's actual prompt, sent at 8pm

This is the real question going out to parents tonight

What would you miss most about Earth if you moved to space?

Rises after sunset, bright late into the night.

A parent and child. A porch. The moon.

How it works

Four steps. Two minutes. A memory that lasts.

Text at 8 pm

Every evening, you'll receive the moon phase, what to look for, and one question sized for your kid's age.

Step outside together

Tap the link in the text. NightLog™ opens. You're outside with your kid in 10 seconds.

Log the night

Snap a photo of tonight's moon. Include an optional note about what they said. Something you can print, frame, and keep, long after they've grown up.

Earn badges

Every night you show up, the streak grows. Badges mark the milestones. First full moon, first photo, two weeks running. So that two years from now, you'll have hundreds of nights with your kid to look back on.

How do I explain black holes without scaring my kid?

Think of a black hole like the universe's strongest vacuum cleaner. It pulls in everything nearby, even light — so it's basically invisible, like a ninja. The cool part? The nearest one is so far away it might as well be in another galaxy. Which, technically, it is. Tonight, point at the sky and ask your kid: what do you think is the strongest thing in the universe?

Calm space answers, in plain parent language. Personalized to your kid's age. Unlock with Premium.

Premium · Memory Book

Every night outside. In a book your kid will keep.

On the first of every month, NightLog™ generates a printable summary of every night you logged. The moon phase, what you asked, what your kid said, every photo. Ten years from now it won't be a screenshot. It'll be a book.

What parents are saying

From dads and moms who've been outside every night.

"I am a single mom and this has become our thing. The questions are perfectly calibrated for my 8-year-old. She gets excited every night."

Stephanie A., mom of an 8-year-old

"The Memory Book made me cry. Thirty nights of questions and answers and moon phases printed out. I did not expect that."

Charlie T., dad of three

"We have missed maybe two nights in six weeks. My son asks me before I even get the text. That is everything."

Michael S., father of two

"Got my kids more interested in the moon than TikTok. Remarkable."

Questions parents ask

Everything you need to know before you sign up.

Does my kid need an account?

No. NightLog™ is an account for you, the parent. Your kid never creates a profile, never logs in, and we never collect any information about them beyond the age you optionally provide to personalize the questions.

What if I miss a night?

Life happens. Free users can pick up right where they left off. Your streak resets but your journal stays intact. Premium users get one grace night per month so a single missed night doesn't break your streak.

Can I use NightLog™ without the SMS text?

Yes. The phone number is optional. You can sign up with just an email, log nights manually through the app, and use every feature except the nightly text reminder.

Is this US-only?

The SMS feature currently works best in the US and Canada. The app itself, including moon phase tracking, journaling, badges, and the Memory Book, works anywhere in the world.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel Premium at any time from your account settings. No hoops, no phone calls. Your free account stays active and your journal stays intact.

What do you do with my phone number?

We use it for one thing: your nightly 8pm moon text. We never sell it, never share it with advertisers, and never use it for any other purpose. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

Know a parent who needs this?

Share NightLog™ with another family.

The more families looking up together, the better. Send it to a parent who could use a reason to step outside tonight.

"The night sky has always been there. We just forgot to look up."
